Accessibility Statement
Last updated: April 16, 2026
FindWords is committed to making our website and mobile app accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level. This page describes the steps we have taken and the standards we follow.
What we do
Standards we follow
We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance across all pages on findwordspuzzles.com. This includes guidelines for perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust content. Where possible, we also meet Level AAA criteria, especially for color contrast (targeting 7:1 for body text).
Assistive technology
We test our website with screen readers (VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, NVDA on Windows) and keyboard-only navigation. Our goal is for all content and features to be usable without a mouse or touch screen.
Known limitations
Word search puzzle grids present a unique accessibility challenge. The visual scanning nature of the puzzle requires sight. We are exploring ways to make the puzzle experience available to screen reader users, including audio-described grids and alternative game modes. This is an active area of work.
Feedback
If you find an accessibility barrier on our website or in our app, please let us know. We take every report seriously and will work to fix the issue as quickly as possible. Contact us at [email protected].
Third-party content
Some parts of our site may link to third-party services (such as Amazon for book purchases or app stores for downloads). We do not control the accessibility of these external sites. We choose partners that share our commitment to accessibility, but we cannot guarantee their compliance.
